Looking forward already to the summer break?

CBBC will be live in Leeds for the weekend – in Millennium Square from 25-27 July – brought to you courtesy of a collaboration between Leeds Council and BBC Look North.

There’ll be live broadcasting of such old favourites as Blue Peter and Newsround. Kids will be able to see the stars in person, watc broadcasts live. And there’lll be activities galore.
‘preview screenings, science workshops and the opportunity to have a go at presenting and try new digital content’.
And for the tinies – a CBeebies zone.

CBBC Controller, Cheryl Taylor, says: “We’re all very excited about the prospect of taking the channel on a jolly jaunt to Leeds this July. We’ll be there for three-action packed days with loads of events to help inspire kids in the city and all over the country to get the most out of their summer holidays.’
Labour’s Judith Blake, executive member for children’s services in Leeds, says: “We are absolutely delighted that CBBC are coming to Leeds this summer! Our ambition is to make Leeds a child-friendly city, putting children and young people at the heart of everything we do.
“This exciting event will be the perfect start to a summer full of fun and activity for all children, young people and their families. I can’t wait to share the very best of Leeds with CBBC in July.”
