nsbwlaunch-leadHave you ever thought about building your own home?

An event to bring together individuals and groups interested in building their own homes will be taking place in Leeds next week. The event is organised by Leeds City Council and will take place at Civic Hall on Saturday 11 May at 9am – 1pm.

Councillor Richard Lewis, Leeds City Council executive board member with
responsibility for development and the economy said:

“We have already had a number of groups and individuals come forward to say they are
interested in self-build and would like to know more about what is happening across the city. This event will provide a good platform for people to
talk to specialists in the field of self-build and also discuss and share ideas,
and possibly even form groups of potential first time builders.”

Speakers from the National Self Build Association (NaSBA) and the
Homes and Communities Agency will be at the event alongside a number of other
agencies that can assist and give advice about how to start building your own.
