This is why we need to make sure that anything of value is not left insecure. If anybody witnesses such a thing, please do not hesitate to contact the police on the non emergency number of 101. There has been no anti social behaviour calls this week, which is fantastic news. High visibility patrols will continue on and around the estate.
Cookridge Crime Update
There has been one report of an attempted burglary this week. This occurred on Woodhill Crescent between 23:00 hrs on 21/05/13- 06:15 hrs on 22/05/13. Person/s unknown have attacked the beading of a ground floor UPVC window, no entry was gained. Other than the burglary, there has been no other crime reported or antisocial behaviour calls received over the past seven days. This once again is great news for Cookridge. Surrounding areas have seen a slight increase of theft from sheds and garages etc. It would appear that high valued cycles are been targeted. If you are in possession of a high value bike or any other valuable that you keep in an outbuilding, please consider your security. Recent thefts have involved the usual forcing of the lock and door and even the removal of the actual door. Shed alarms can be bought for low price, especially when the price of a stolen bike or other equipment is so high.
