Stand Up for Labour – a great night of comedy with a political slant!
Thursday 17 October, 8pm at Left Bank Leeds on Cardigan Road.
Featuring three great acts from the Northern circuits
Mark Rough has headlined many gigs in the north and is known as the ‘Mackem Motormouth’. He’s appeared on the Comedy Store, at Leeds City Varieties Theatre and at St George’s Hall, Bradford
Helen Keeler from the Wirral – which we’re not holding against her – a Manchester Comedy Festival Comedian of the Year and Finalist in Funny’s Funny Female Comedienne of the Year 2011. Helen is ‘replete with gags and anecdotes documenting some of the awkward social situations she’s been in’.
Sam Harland after surviving two rehabs, various detention centres and a childhood on the streets of Hull, brings a ‘cynical, but optimistic, slant on life’. Sam has played Comedy Central, Liverpool, Mirth on Monday, Manchester, The Laughing Factory and many more.
