David Cameron wants to take money away from the NHS in areas with high deprivation to give it to more affluent areas.

The Coalition are trying to change the formula for how NHS funding is allocated which would mean clinical commissioning groups in West Yorkshire would lose on average 8.04% per year, or around £210 million.
Every CCG in West Yorkshire (and every CCG in Yorkshire) will lose out. Parts of Leeds will see cuts of 13%; in Leeds North they’ll be in the order of 8.8%. Wakefield CCG reckon that these plans could come into force as early as April 2014. Wakefield CCG have also made clear that these cuts are of an impossible and unprecedented scale and would heavily hit services across the area.
