Spring Wood before the clean up

In response to concerns about littering from local residents, Julie Heselwood, Weetwood’s Labour Candidate for Leeds City Council, recently led a group of Labour Party volunteers one Saturday morning to remove rubbish from an area of Spring Wood on Silk Mill Approach in Tinshill.

No less than 25 bags of rubbish were collected, and Asda were asked to collect a dumped shopping trolley.

After the clean-up, residents commented on how much cleaner and safer the area now is, as can be seen in the photographs below.

We will be checking back to make sure the area is kept clean.

This is just one of many community clean-ups that Leeds North West Labour Party is undertaking.

If there is another area in the constituency that you think would benefit from a similar clean up, please get in touch with us.
