The Holt Park Health Centre Surgery is under threat of closure – with very little local or patient consultation.
Alex Sobel, our Parliamentary candidate, has written to NHS England protesting about it – and he’s launched a petition. You can read more about the closure and what Alex has been doing HERE
– and you can sign the petition HERE.

On Sunday 7 December Alex and our local candidate, Mark Henley, will be out in and around Holt Park – talking to people and collecting signatures.
There will be a Street Stall outside Asda from 10.30 a.m. – then we’ll be on the doorstep from 2 p.m.

Before that, on Saturday 6 December, we’ll be joining with our sister party, the Co-operative Party, in Holt Park again – on their Sharkstoppers Campaign
The Sharkstoppers campaign calls for more transparency from payday lenders, and spreads knowledge of alternatives – such as Credit Unions.
We’ll have a street stall outside Asda from 12 p.m. on Saturday.

And don’t forget our up and coming – free – Community gig at the High Farm pub next Thursday – 11 December.

After the highly successful RumDoodle concert in September we are organising our second community concert.
Automatic is Easy are a Leeds based 4 piece indie band. They play Alternative and Garage Rock tunes. The band are Chris Gans – Vox & Guitar, Ben Gaunt – Bass, Darren Rogers – Guitar and Kimberley Loftenhausen Lofthouse – Drums

They’ll be supported by The Strawberries, who play a set of 60s covers from the Beatles, Byrds and other classic 60s songs plus their own songs inspired by songs of the period.
And by local Singer Andy Cavadino playing an acoustic set of covers and his own compositions
It’s at the High Farm Pub, Farrar Lane, Holt Park
On Thursday 11th December
Doors – 7.30pm.
The gig is free – but donations would be welcome.
Come along and join us.
