One of the most successful events in recent times has been the free mass participation cycling event “Sky Ride” which is back for another year in our great city. This year’s even takes place on Sunday 14th June 2015 at 10am-3pm and is open to all.
The aims of Sky Ride are to engage more people in cycling, which promotes the spirt but also promotes public health. The event is the opportunity to join other from all cycling ability ranges I having fun. If you’re an experienced cyclist or someone who hasn’t been on a bike in years, you’re still welcome. The main event is a 6.5km ride which sets off from the same spot that the Tour De France riders set off from last year. There are many other activities going on for all the family and as well as all this tgere is a series of smaller events taking place throughout the summer which can be found here.
