Tuesday January 9th: It’s the Branch meeting where we discuss recent events, look ahead to the all out council elections in May, and consider new policies / amendments. This meeting is open to all members of the Adel & Wharfedale Branch Labour Party and takes place at Adel Methodist Church, starting promptly at 1930. It’s a good opportunity to meet local members, as is the usual drink after the meeting.
Wednesday January 17th: Leeds Campaign Forum will be meeting at 1930 at Leeds Civil Hall. This meeting concerns the manifesto for the May council elections. Questions to be answered will include; What should the manifesto say? What should we campaign on? What would we as members like? What do the people in your community think? Labour Party members from across Leeds are invited.
Friday January 26th: This is the monthly Constituency meeting which will begin at, you guessed it, 1930. We’ll be joined by our MP, Alex Sobel, for a report on activities in Westminster and generally discuss any matters pertaining to Leeds North West constituency. This meeting is open to all Labour Party members within Leeds North West.
With the all out council elections in May and the threat of another General Election refusing to go away it would be great for as many of us to meet as possible to ensure a coordinated effort during election times.
